Dr. Kelsea Monet Randolph
Memorial Scholarship
Application Deadline: March 7, 2025
Scholarship Details
This scholarship was established in 2018 to honor the life of Kelsea Monet Randolph by helping others achieve their educational goals despite medical or other challenges. A proud Hampton University Graduate, Kelsea had an unwavering determination to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy degree despite health issues that took her life on July 23, 2017, just thirteen days after her 25th birthday. During Kelsea’s extended illness she continued her coursework, donated time to help organizations such as the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas and the BEC Scholarship Fund, knitted scarves for the homeless and advocated for those less fortunate than herself.
The Dr. Kelsea Monet Randolph Memorial Scholarship, funded by the youth of Bethel Baptist Church, is a one-time award of $1,000. High school seniors who have excelled (minimum 3.0 weighted GPA) despite challenging circumstances and plan to attend Hampton University or other HBCUs are encouraged to apply. The award recipient will be selected by Bernard and Cynthia Randolph in April of each year.
Applicants must submit a completed application and essay by March 7th to be considered. Up to 5 finalists can be chosen. Selected finalists will be required to also submit the following:
-
Official High School Transcript
-
Two letters of recommendation
-
